The new hub will also see the adaptation to local conditions of world-class high technology from across the globe.

Based in Novosibirsk region, the AgroTechno-park will aim to 'form an effective system for the monetization of R&D projects developed by scientists from the Siberian branch of the  Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (RAAS)', said Sergei Sverchkov. He is the deputy chairman of the RAAS in Siberia.

Novosibirsk region governor Vasily Yurchenko has called for a detailed business plan from scientific think tanks by April on the project. A key objective will be to train innovation managers and 'a skilled cadre of agricultural specialists'.

You've got to have PPIs, government-private enterprise initiatives with foreign backing to make this work. Foreign Asian or Western. The Chinese and Japanese and Indians should be as interested if not more so than the West.
