Unique footage shows four endangered predators walking by the side of a lake, a well known watering hole for deer, in the Land of the Leopard nature reserve in the Far East of Russia.
The three cubs must have just got out of the water because their fur is glimmering under the sun as they get to sniff trail camera set by the side of the lake.
‘It is only logical to see tigers at this site, as usually there is are a lot of deer by the water. Although they are the basis of Amur tigers' diet, this was unlikely a hunting trip’, said Victor Storozhuk from the Science Department of the reserve.
‘The tigers’ fur is visibly wet.’
So they were having a bath, sadly out of the camera’s view.
‘This is the first time the tigers were filmed by the lake, and as a family,’ he added.

It was a young mother known as T61F who brought her first litter on the lake outing.
She was born in 2016 and as the reserve’s said, they were happy indeed to see her cubs to look so well-fed and healthy.
Amur tigresses with cubs are rarely caught by photo trails, and less so in summers, so the new footage has extra value for the specialists of the Land of the Leopard.

The core population is under the protection of the Land of the Leopard Nature Reserve, established by the Russian government to seek to save the endangered species from extinction.
Some Amur tigers also live in China and North Korea.
The next tiger census in Russia will be held in winter 2021-2022.
Archeologists discovered a new stone bracelet, two sharp pins, a marble ring and fox tooth pendants.
