He revealed his condition on Facebook, with a posting: 'I'm in hospital for a few days. So sorry Russia I cant be at a few shows. I have kidney stone.

'Thank you SO MUCH for your understanding, well wishes, prayers and love. I am very touched by your hearts in my situation."

Earlier he told fans: 'Well it seems my dream about coming storms and pruning was very accurate. Im in a hospital in Siberia for a few days. Went to hospital for pain on my left side, they said i was healthy after tests. Went back to hotel and had to call ambulance - kidney stone."

Clearly feeling unwell, the 43 year old, known as Head, said: 'I wouldn't wish this pain on Charles Manson. Please pray this stone leaves my body today or tomorrow so I can get back to my friends and fans'.

Love And Death guitarist JR Bareis filled in for Welch at last night's show (May 19), taking to Twitter to write: 'Filled in for HeAd last night at the Korn show. It was a lot of fun, but I can't wait for him to get back out here!'

A month ago, members of heavy metal band paid tribute to their former tour guitarist Shane Gibson, who died at an Alabama hospital aged 35 after suffering complications relating to a blood clotting disorder.
