Cars smashed, garages blown away, road signs and power lines knocked down.

Two people reported minor injuries, one resident had to be admitted into a hospital with more serious wounds after being hit by a torn garage roof.

Several primary school children were filmed falling on the ground and being dragged along the street by the force of the wind as they tried to make their way back home. 

The stormy wind at 30 metres per second rose in Chita in the afternoon on Wednesday 13 May. 

Trans-Baikal region’s governor Alexander Osipov warned the residents against going outdoors as the weather forecast was for the wind to grow stronger. 

The stormy weather will stay for two more days, said regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

This would be a tornado or a series of tornadoes as we would classify them here. One thing to keep everyone informed. In tornado conditions where a funnel cloud is sighted. There can be more than just the one funnel cloud in which everyone shold keep in mind. Been a trained spotter for every bit of 50 years. Prayers to all ,
